The Designed Spider:
The spider is advanced biotech. Like every other living organism its design exceeds anything that human intelligence has imagined or produced by light years. The spider's design is more evidence that life was intelligently designed.
Biology 101.
Recently I was challenged to read a basic biology book by someone who assumes that its a lack of understanding that causes rejection of evolution. Although I have read several biology textbooks and dozens of books on evolution, I thought it would be interesting to take one of the Biology textbooks I have and go through it page by page to demonstrate the effects that belief in molecules to man evolution has on the text. Does it enhance or taint the science?
.
Some of the issues that will be examined.
1. How much of the science confirms or points to ID?
2. Are the abstract ideas presented in the text the result of the science or being imposed on the science?
3. How many assumptions or circular arguments are used in confirming evolution?
4. When "evolution" is mentioned is it accompanied by science to confirm it?
5. When observational and experimentally evidence for evolution is provided is it for micro or macro evolution?
6. Are the scientists forthcoming with all problems with evolution or do they present problems as "debates" that have no impact on the fact of evolution?
7. Where are the uncertainty words (maybe, probably, etc.) used?
People of Faith
Quite often we are told that evolution is science and ID or Creationism is religion. But this misses the point. Evolutionism may exclude God, but it is not free it from abstract philosophical underpinnings and beliefs based on faith alone. Evolution may not be able to be properly called a "religion" (which means government can support it, spread it and ban rational opposition) but can be called a "faith". How much faith do you have to exercise to accept the "fact" of evolution. How much is evolutionism like a religion?
Critical Errors
Bible Critics have compiled lists of discrepancies and contradictions that they think they have found in the Bible. But are the critics really presenting well thought out problems or are they presenting problems that have resolutions? Is it the critic's that are really making the errors in their search in hope of finding errors in the Bible?
